Textbook Information
General InformationStudents check-out textbooks for either a semester or year, depending on the length of the course and are responsible for returning each book checked-out. Textbooks left in lockers may not get returned and may have a fine attached. Students with outstanding books are on the No-Activities-list for activities. Textbooks from completed courses must be returned before getting new texts. If books get traded from being in shared lockers or left in classrooms, students are still responsible for the book they received.
Any damage that results while a book is checked-out is the responsibility of the book's owner. Most textbooks now cost over $80. Utmost care is encouraged! |
Looking for Lost BooksAs soon as you think you've lost a book, check in the library to see if it was returned (anyone finding a book usually brings it to the library). Also check lost-and-found in the office. Sometimes there are lost textbooks stacked in the cafeteria as well.
ID Cards Current student ID cards are required each day on campus and are always required to check-out books. StudentVue app has ID card embedded and can be used!

Payments / ReplacementsBooks that are lost or damaged must be paid for by the student who checked-out the book. Replacement books may also be purchased online, often at a much lower cost. No refunds can be given for replacement books turned-in later. Make arrangements with librarian.

Duplicate Sets of BooksPer district policy, double sets of textbooks may be checked-out with a current medical note from a doctor stating the need, or it is written into a student's IEP or 504 plan. Books left in classrooms are still the owner's responsibility to return.
